CasaCor SP 2022

Presented at CASACOR São Paulo 2022, SERtão draws inspiration from Candido Portinari's work Cangaceiro to create a contemporary interpretation of the sertão's landscape and culture. Spanning 250 m², the space conveys these references through earthy tones, textures, and organic forms, without literal reproduction. At the entrance, a metallic-looking portico and a prominent mandacaru signal the journey ahead.

The living area, lounge, kitchen, dining room, master suite, and home office are arranged in an integrated and fluid manner. The flooring evokes packed earth, while blue surfaces reflect the sky and the arrival of rain. A brise made of ceramic elements frames the space, referencing taipa and bridging clay and wood with a contemporary language. At the center, a circular structure combines a bar and fireplace on one side, while delineating the bathing area on the other, articulating the various functions of the home.
